Action & Inspiration
Transcript:
Hi! Recently, on my trip to India, the one common theme that I came across was — ""I'm waiting for inspiration before I can start acting on my idea."" That's not how it works. Action always precedes inspiration. Have to start acting, and then inspiration will follow.
Mark Manson, in his book The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F-U-C-K, says the same thing. How do you become a good writer? You become a good writer by writing 200 lousy words every day. You keep on writing 200 lousy words every day, and eventually, you'll be a good writer.
My friend who started this company — if she had waited for inspiration, she would simply be waiting. She had an idea. She wanted to be a chocolatier. She started acting on it. She went and trained herself with all the various processes of making chocolate, and now she's inspired. The stuff she's coming up with is brilliant. Check this out — Elements Truffles. Their stuff is amazing. It is coming from pure inspiration, but action preceded inspiration.
Go start acting. Don't wait for inspiration; you'll thank me for it. Bye!
