Choosing a Restaurant
Transcript:
Continuing our discussion on unique places to have food. You have two choices. One is a restaurant that serves food and also serves alcohol. For example, a sports bar. The other is a restaurant that only serves food. No alcohol. Strictly no alcohol. You don't know anything else about these restaurants. How do you decide which one to go to?
You go to the restaurant that serves alcohol. I'll tell you why. Because alcohol is a very profitable business. So they want people to come to the restaurant to consume their alcohol so that they can make a lot of money.
Except people always want to eat food. So if they don't serve good food, people won't even come to the restaurant. They will choose a restaurant that has good food and serves alcohol. Always.
Now, here's the thing about alcohol. When you consume alcohol, it dehydrates the taste buds in your tongue. So, for it to register good taste of food, it has to have a bombardment of spices. The food has to be spiced up.
So, between the two restaurants, the alcohol restaurant will always have food that is well-spiced so that it registers taste. And that is your best bet if you don't know anything else.
