How to handle Loneliness?

Participant: How to handle loneliness?
SK: This is a terrible thing. Loneliness is more harmful than smoking 15 cigarettes a day. You look in: there are studies to show that. Loneliness is terrible.
How to handle loneliness is to develop connections. How do you develop connections? You have to develop the skill of putting yourself in the other person's shoes. Once you do that, automatically there is connection.
The other person is behaving like a complete jackass. Why is that person behaving like that? Put yourself in that person's shoes कि क्या हुआ उनकी life में that they are now behaving like this? Automatically, you are connected.
That connection happens from your side. That person doesn't even know that you are connected to that person. But it helps you. Loneliness is eating up yourself. The way of making connections from your side is helping yourself. It is not about the other person. It's about yourself. You find a way to make connections.
Don't expect others to make connections with you. If you are a very boring person and you are sitting in a party and doing like this — कौन तेरे से बात करेगा बे? Who will talk to you? You have to put your effort. Even if you don't know how to dance, Pappu can dance. कुछ तो अभी हिलने का है उसमें क्या है? Just move your… ऐसा ऐसा कुछ तो अभी करो। Somebody will come and teach you how to dance. Automatically, there is a connection.
The hindrance is from our side. Loneliness comes because of hindrance from our side. Not from the other person's side.
If somebody asks you to sing a song, you will say, "No, I can't sing." Aree, everybody can sing, तेरे को bathroom में बंद करूँगा मैं, you will sing like a Kishore Kumar because nobody is looking at you in the bathroom. In the party, you think you are in the bathroom और गा ले क्या problem है? 2–3 notes off key हो गया, even if all notes are off key, who cares? At that point, nobody is caring.
Your enthusiasm will catch with them. You will sing a song. Everybody can sing.
Guruji says, there is a song inside of you. Till that song comes out, you will be uncomfortable. Once that song comes out, you will be unstoppable. Find that song.
How will you find that song? By saying, "No, I cannot sing"? You will never find the song. Sing. Only when you sing 1,500 songs, you will find the song. That's it. Done. Finished. It is so simple.
