Unstruck Sound: Anahat Naad

Transcript:

So sound—sound is usually made, not usually, always made by striking of two things together, like clapping of hands makes sound. Even voice is the air that the lung expels that strikes the larynx and that creates sound. But there is one sound in Sanskrit; it's called Anahat. Hath means striking, Ana means unstruck, not striking, and Naad means sound. Anahat Naad means a sound that is made by no two objects striking. It's called unstruck sound, and that sound is OM.

OM is the primordial sound which is made by no two objects striking each other. It's unstruck sound; it's Anahat Naad. And there's many secrets to OM. We'll cover in the next few videos.

Okay, pretty interesting.
