A Cup of Coffee with a Friend.

Transcript:

Hi! Welcome to another edition of "A Little Something About Everything." So, a professor walks into a lecture room carrying a big jar of mayonnaise. And he keeps the jar on the table and says, "See, it's an empty jar of mayonnaise." The students say, "Yeah, yeah, it's empty."

He takes some billiard balls and he pours them into the jar, so they fill up the jar, and he asks the students, "Is the jar full?" The students say, "Yes, the jar is full." Then the professor takes some ball bearings and he pours them into the jar. And the ball bearings go and sit in the middle of all the billiard balls, and he asks the students, "Now, is the jar full?" And the students say, "Yeah, yeah, now the jar is full."

Then he takes some finely ground sand and he pours that into the jar. And the sand goes and sits even in the middle of all the billiard balls and the ball bearings, and he asks, "Is the jar full now?" And now the students are confused.

Then he takes a cup of coffee and he pours it into the jar. And the coffee goes and fills up the whole jar. And the point the professor makes is: no matter how busy you are, there is always time to have a cup of coffee with a friend.

That's it for this episode of "A Little Something About Everything." See you on the next one. Bye.
