A working definition of Dharma (Life Purpose) from Saraswati’s Intelligence by Prof. Vamsee Juluri

Transcript:

Hi, welcome to another episode of "A Little Something About Everything." Today, we will talk about Dharma. Dharma, loosely translated, is life purpose. And every sincere seeker has asked this question: "What is my Dharma?" The best working definition of Dharma that I have come across is from Professor Vamsee Juluri's book called "Saraswathi's Intelligence." And this is what he says about Dharma, and I'm going to read it out:

"Dharma is far more than what we are required to do or not to do. There is no list of things to get through or to reap some reward in the end. Dharma is just the way everything is, without distortion, untruth, and, most of all, without violence and destruction. So it is for each one of us to recognize Dharma as the reality that we live in and then decide on actions that will best support that reality."

This is the best working definition of Dharma that I have come across. I'll put the details of Professor Juluri's book in the description. So feel free to check it out. It's an awesome book.

That's it for today's episode. Let us know what you thought about it in the comments, and we'll see you on the next one. Bye.
