Action, Knowledge, Devotion

Transcript:

So, in the Bhagavad Gita, three paths are listed that move us towards liberation. It is Karma Yoga, which is the yoga of action. It is Bhakti Yoga, which is the yoga of devotion. And it is Jnana Yoga, which is the yoga of knowledge. And all of these three are necessary. Why?

Because without action, you cannot imbibe knowledge. Knowledge only gets solidified after action, so action is needed. Devotion prevents the imbibe knowledge from transforming into arrogance; that is why Bhakti is needed. Devotion prevents knowledge from transforming into arrogance. And knowledge prevents devotion from degrading into superstition. Without knowledge, devotion can degrade into superstition. And without action, there cannot be knowledge. This is why the three paths are important: Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Jnana Yoga—action, devotion, and knowledge.
