Conserve Save Water
Transcript:
Hi! So, a county just sent out a water advisory note. You are asked to conserve water: not wash cars, don't water the garden excessively, and take shorter showers. These are the three things in the note from the county. But there are two more sources of water waste that happen in the bathroom.
The first one is: notice if you're keeping the faucet running while you're brushing your teeth. Switch off the water. When you're brushing your teeth, there is no need for the faucet to be running. Switch it off. That's one.
The second is: are you excessively flushing your toilets? I learned this mnemonic many, many years ago: "If it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down." If you remember this mnemonic, you will see there are times when you use the bathroom, you don't have to flush it. You can let it mellow. But if it's brown, flush it down.
So, do these two things and see how much water we can conserve. We just have one planet. And we have only so much water.
