To cook these millets, you take one portion of millet and thoroughly wash it with water till the water that is running off of the millet is clear. To this washed millet, you drain it—and to this washed millet, you add one and a half portions of water. So, if you have taken half a cup of millet, to that you would add half a cup and another quarter cup of water.

To this, you add half a teaspoon or maybe quarter teaspoon of oil—a little bit of oil—and a pinch of salt, maybe quarter teaspoon of salt. And then this you cook in an instant pot for 10 minutes, and that's it. You've got fluffy cooked millets which you can use to make upma.
