In Between Earth & Moon
Transcript:
Hi, welcome to another episode of "A Little Something About Everything." Today, we'll look at how far away is the moon from the Earth?
So, if this is the Earth, where do you think the moon is? Here? Or here? Or here? No, the moon is so far away that it's not even in the frame. In fact, every single photo, every single artist's rendition that you have seen of the solar system is wrong.
The moon is so far away that you can take all the planets—Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, even Pluto—take even Pluto and you can put all of the planets between Earth and the moon. The moon is so far away.
In the description, I'm going to add a link to a scale model of the solar system that was built in a desert in Utah. It's the most amazing video you would have seen. It gives you an idea of the scale, how vast the solar system is and how empty it is. It is amazing.
So check out the video and let us know what you think about this episode. And that's it for this one. See you on the next one. Bye.
