Measure, Mark & Cut!

Transcript:

Okay, let's say you want a very precisely sized piece of wood. So what do you do? You measure with a caliper, which is precise, but you mark with a chalk and you cut with an axe. That's never going to work. The size of the final piece that you cut is never going to be precisely what you want. This is exactly what happens with these hand positions that people use during meditation. Look at these photos. These kind of hand positions are completely wrong. These are mudras. These hand positions are called mudras and mudras are extremely precise positions. Why? Because what it is doing is it is directing subtle life force, which is prana, to specific parts of the body, and this is a very precise direction that needs to happen. And unless you learn the precise mudras, how to correctly do this, it's not going to work. If you do these mudras like these photos, you'll be stuck in a situation where you will measure with a caliper, mark with a chalk, and cut with an axe. It's a foolish thing to do.
