Phone call vs Text message - Part 1.
Transcript:
There's these two awesome studies that have come out that has looked at whether it's better to pick up the phone and speak with someone or to send a text message or maybe an email. And the younger generation prefers, obviously, the text message and email. So, they wanted to look at exactly what the situation is. So, this first study, they asked the people to call a friend with whom they had not spoken for a long time. So, some of them called, and some of them texted or emailed. And the reason people prefer texting or emailing is that it's less awkward. But surprisingly, the study found that the phone call was much better or much less awkward than they had anticipated it to be. And the phone call was clearly the superior way of re-establishing communication. This second study is even better. They had a series of girls—they had a set of girls who were asked to call their moms.
