Quantized Mind (Part 2of4)
Transcript:
Or not the mind; the Chitta is a mirror, and you have a spray bottle, and you spray tiny droplets of water on it. Okay, and now you take a hand, and you smear the droplets. What's happening? The clarity of the mirror is lost now, right? The mirror cannot reflect the image in its true clarity because of the smearing of the droplets on the mirror. This is what is happening.
When the mind is noisy, the chitta has impressions on it because of the smearing effect. The loss of granularity of the moments leads to a smearing effect. And this smear on the Chitta is called Vrutti. Now you know what Vrutti is. It's a smear that is left on the Chitta.
What is the consequence of that? The consequence of that is: the chitta that is smeared will cause a distortion of the perception of the next moment. For example, if I had shown you two photos—which I did in the past reels—one was the raw ingredients of Upma, and the other one was the finished product of Upma. Remember that? And I show you this many times, maybe three or four times.
