Reflect not Deflect
Transcript:
Shoutout to my friend Aniket Gune! He posted this photo on his Instagram yesterday. Look at it. Powerful words: Reflect, not deflect. This tendency of deflection is instinctive. When any feedback comes to us, our tendency is to deflect. When someone says, "Look how sloppy you are; you never put things back in their own place," the instinctive thing to say is, "Oh, you want to talk? Look at all the mess in your place."
Mess in their place does not change the fact that you are sloppy. Reflect on the fact that you are sloppy. Doesn't matter if the other person is messy or not. This is the difference. Reflect, don't deflect.
Now you see, rain is coming. So, for that, I am going to deflect. I am not going to reflect on the rain; I am going to deflect.
Bye.
