The Dandelion
Transcript:
Here's something unique about the dandelion—this pesky weed that we see in the lawns. The dandelion is a master of survival. It can survive almost any situation. Even though it has a genetic flaw in it—there is no genetic diversity in dandelions. Even with this flaw, it is the most resilient species. It can survive.
In the flower form, it represents the sun; in the puffball form, it represents the moon; and when these puffs get dispersed by the wind, they represent the stars. Every single part of the dandelion is useful: the root has medicinal properties. The stalk, the stem, leaf, the flower—every single part can be used. It is the most useful of the trees. It is the most resilient to survival of the trees and it has celestial connections. And yet, the dandelion is treated with utter disdain. Quite unfortunate.
